The Automatic Plunger Hopper (APH) series is designed for the automatic sampling of powders in the food, animal feed, and chemical industries. Thanks to its hygienic design, it is highly suitable for applications in the food industry.
Principles
The APH uses a pneumatically driven plunger, which is inserted into the process line to collect powder samples. When closed, the plunger creates an airtight seal to prevent leakage. The sampler can be easily removed without tools for periodic cleaning. The standard version is made of 304 stainless steel with a glass bead-blasted finish, with an optional 316 stainless steel variant featuring a wet-blasted finish. The plunger itself is manufactured from FDA-compliant POM-C or an antistatic material containing graphite.
