Solutions

Four solutions. One measurement principle. Choose based on how fast you need to know, and how fast you need to act.

Pellet quality management always begins with the same three questions. What was produced. What is being produced right now. And what the result will be once the batch is complete. WEMO-techniek answers those questions with four solutions, for both animal feed and wood pellet producers.

Laboratory Kempink Tester

What your quality was, measured to the standard your auditors trust.

The foundation

Inventor Sjaak Kempink developed the PDI test methodology in collaboration with the animal feed industry, drawing on years of hands-on experience in pellet production. The Laboratory Kempink Tester has delivered reproducible, operator-independent PDI measurement since 2016. Installed base of more than 300 testers worldwide.

Available as a direct purchase.

Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl

What your quality is, while you can still act on it.

The upgrade: from lab to line

The Ctrl takes the same Kempink methodology as the Laboratory Tester and runs it directly on the production line. Automated, per batch, real-time results to your MES. No waiting for the lab. No manual sampling. No operator involvement in the test cycle.

Delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl +

What your quality will be, and what to to do about it.

The upgrade: from measurement to management

Everything the Ctrl does, plus: expected durability predicted before the batch is complete and targeted adjustment recommendations delivered to your operators. Up to every five minutes. Capacity, energy consumption, and quality: all three in your personalized dashboard. Steering your factory on cruise control.

Delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

Inline Packing & Coding System

What you can prove, for every batch, at any audit.

Close the quality loop

Add automated retention sample packaging to your quality control. Every batch gets a corresponding coded physical sample, archived without manual handling. Track and trace to meet quality assurance regulations. Works alongside the Ctrl or Ctrl+ on a separate sample line.

Delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

Four common situations. Four starting points.

If your situation is…

Then start with…

You currently rely on lab measurement and need a reference standard your auditors and buyers accept

Laboratory Kempink Tester

Correlated to ASAE/ASABE S269.5 and ISO 17831-1:2025, the industry reference for PDI documentation.

You need real-time PDI results and expected quality prediction before each batch leaves the line

Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl

Automated measurement and predictive modeling, delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

You run multiple pressing lines and want targeted adjustment recommendations to catch deviations before they escalate

Inline Kempink Tester Ctrl+

Predictive control with per-line advisory intelligence, delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

You need physical, coded retention samples for GMP+, GAFTA, or ENplus audits, automated rather than manual

Inline Packing & Coding System

Automated retention documentation, delivered as Quality-as-a-Service.

Many producers combine solutions. The most common pairing is Ctrl+ for real-time quality control together with the Inline Packing & Coding System for automated audit documentation.

Four solutions, compared side by side.

FAQs
Common questions from producers comparing solutions.

What is the difference between Ctrl and Ctrl+?
Both measure PDI in real time on the production line and both predict expected durability before the batch is complete. Ctrl+ adds a layer the base Ctrl does not have: targeted adjustment recommendations per pressing line, plus simultaneous visibility into capacity and energy consumption alongside quality.
Do I need the Packing & Coding System if I already have Ctrl or Ctrl+?
Ctrl and Ctrl+ give you the quality result. The Packing & Coding System gives you the physical, coded retention sample that GMP+, GAFTA, and ENplus audits require as evidence. The two are complementary: measurement for control, sampling for documentation. Many producers run both.
Can I start with the Laboratory Kempink Tester and upgrade later?
Yes. The Laboratory Kempink Tester uses the same Kempink measurement principle as the inline solutions, so results remain comparable if you move to inline measurement later. Many producers start in the laboratory and add an inline solution once volume or compliance requirements justify it.
